The central idea of ​​the project is to take advantage of and value tuna skin waste with a tanning process that will result in "Skin Tuna Fish" tuna leather with a clear objective of sustainability and environmental care. In this sense, a prototype will be carried out to develop a vegetable tanning process, avoiding chrome tanning at all costs, which accounts for more than 95% of the world's leather production and is harmful to health and the environment.
