The president of the Spanish Maritime Cluster (CME) and general secretary of the Spanish Fisheries Confederation (CEPESCA), Javier Garat, visited the Cádiz Free Zone this morning, interested in learning first-hand about the activity that is taking place. develops in its Cádiz Tax Precinct, with special attention to projects related to the Blue Economy and the technological incubator, Incubazul, which has managed to consolidate innovative ideas as companies in less than two years, already reaching 80 incubated startups.

The State delegate in the Consortium, Fran González, who has accompanied Garat throughout the tour, thanked him for his interest in the innovative ecosystem promoted by the Free Zone around the marine field and both have agreed to open a line of work joint effort to share experiences, take advantage of synergies, attract talent and thus strengthen the Cádiz brand as a benchmark in the sector.

In order to show the Blue Economy potential of the Free Trade Zone operators, Javier Garat and Fran González have also visited the Petaca Chico sea processing plant located in the Cadiz tax district, with a tour of its more than 9,000 m2 of constructed area, with seven loading docks and cold rooms with a capacity of 2,000 tons in frozen storage space at -60º and -25º.
