Agustín Díaz Cárdenas is the promoter of Cegesasub ALBAS, an Incubazul startup in charge of managing aquatic warnings with the use of a device to locate divers.

For the promoter of this interesting initiative, "Cádiz due to its geographical position, maritime traffic and being an intercontinental link will have a lot to say in the blue economy." A marine sector that is closely related to this company dedicated to the sale and exploitation of the ALBAS device (locator assistant for divers, freedivers and surfers).

Agustín Díaz (Seville, March 1976), is an industrial technical engineer specializing in electronics, regulation and automation, a master's degree in electronics, signal processing and communications and a degree in Electrical Engineering. He is currently responsible for the laboratories of the Department of Electronic Engineering at the University of Seville and collaborates with various research projects.

What is your role within the company?

I'm the only one currently, therefore multiple role.

What does your value proposition consist of?

Reduce the suffering for family members and the cost of search-rescue for all when a diver is lost, since we facilitate the location.

How does your solution contribute to the sustainability of marine resources?

By creating a responsible diver role using ALBAS, everything goes hand in hand to get people more aware of the environment.

What aspects differentiate you from your competition?

We send the location to a center to manage it with emergency services, the competition complies when it leaves you floating on the surface.

How do you think technology helps to enhance your solution?

It is completely technological based on a device.

Have you come into contact with potential clients?

Yes, I have many friends who practice it.

How did you find out about the Incubazul acceleration program?

Through José Ignacio Morales, who belonged to the panel of a university ideas contest.

How is your experience in the accelerator?

Very interesting, I think it is ideal for launching this type of business.

What areas of mentoring do you think can bring you more value?

In the current state of my project, the prototype development mentoring and due to my employment situation, also legal.

What would you say to other entrepreneurs who want to launch their project based on the blue economy?

That if you are lucky enough to be part of a batch at Incubazul you will not regret it.
